Bruins Strengthen Forward Roster with Perreault Signing
The Boston Bruins have enhanced their forward lineup by signing Jacob Perreault to an AHL contract for the 2025-26 season. Perreault, a 2020 first-round draft pick, had a challenging 2024-25 season, recording three goals and 14 points in 44 games split between AHL Laval and AHL Bakersfield. Most of his season was spent with Bakersfield after being traded from the Ducks in December 2024. Since turning pro in 2021, he has accumulated 36 goals and 107 points across 218 AHL games, showcasing his skills as a shootout specialist with a perfect record last year. Although he played just one NHL game with the Ducks, his past connection to the Bruins is notable, as he was drafted with a pick originally belonging to Boston. This signing reflects the Bruins' strategy of taking low-risk chances on former first-round talents, potentially paving the way for Perreault to earn an NHL contract if he continues to progress in the AHL.
